1. Family Roots in Resistance - Wanjeri's activism is deeply rooted in her family history. Her grandparents were Mau Mau fighters, part of the Kenyan nationalist movement that resisted British colonial rule.

2. From Finance to Activism - After studying broadcast journalism at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communications (KIMC) and working in finance for several years, Wanjeri took a one-year break to focus on societal issues, particularly addressing sexual abuse among boys.
